A 19th century bonnet from the Alsace region of France. Linnen front with metal work embroidery. Inside a linen liner. All hand done. This is only part of the original bonnet (the back side) which would have probably had a cotton flap around all the edges. Photos are a good representation of actual color.
Measurements
When layed flat the bonnet measures
16 cm from top to bottom x 8.5 cm across.
Condition
Very good condition. The only thing to note is there may have been a spangle or jewel in the center of the large flower motifs which now appears to be missing.
