A 19th century French toile du jouy.  "Scenes of domestic life." Depicting various figures and animal in somewhat classical motifs. Done in beautiful shades of purple and creme. One full repeat. 
 
Perfectly suitable for soft furnishings or light upholstery work projects since the cotton is good and strong. 
 
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Good condition and threads are good and strong.
 
I believe the panel may have been used as a wall covering at one time. There is some slight residue at the right side with one very small light stain at the edge and a bit of yellowing. This could be cut off and you would loose approx. 2 cm of fabric at the right side. Nothing really distracting. You might want to give the fabric a light soak to freshen but leaving up to the discretion of the customer.
