A 19th century French toile du jouy.  "Scenes of domestic life." Depicting various figures and animal in somewhat classical motifs. Done in beautiful shades of purple and creme. 
 
Not a full repeat. 
 
Suitable for soft furnishings as well as light upholstery projects since the cotton is good and strong. 
 
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

The fabric has been left in "as found" condition. 
 
I believe the panel may have been used as a wall covering at one time. There is some sligtht aging/yellowing at the bottom. A few small pinholes which can be seen when held up to the light. A slight fade of color at the left side in the background rows of scallops.  Nothing really distracting. You might want to give the fabric a light soak to freshen but leaving up to the discretion of the customer.
