Elegant look to this 19th century coverlet. Quit possibly from Bengal. Finely done tambour hand embroidery in a pale yellow silk on finely woven muslin. Stylized blossoms and leaves. Has a nice weight and flow to it.

Excellent condition except for one tiny hole down from the center. It's minor. No stains or further damage. Beautiful piece that has been well preserved.
