Rare Find! Something you seldom come across except in private collections or museums this child's bonnet dating from the 1700's. European in origin. Gold work embroidery done on a silver lame and silk base. Accented with small glass facetted jewels here and there, metal spangles and gold foil. Around the sides is a wide gold metal lace trim. Inside is lined with linen. All hand done. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

approximatey 22 cm across the bottom and stands 17.5 cm from top center to bottom center.
Condition
Good condition especially for age. The silk and lame base has begun to splits from the top and towards the back along the seam line. This could be carefully stabilized and seamed back together. |
