A set of five vintage French "Torchon" tea towels. Linen. Probably date from the 1930's. A natural red colored singe stripe along two sides. Each towel has a hand embroidered cross stitch monogram "LS" at one corner. Towels are strong and durable and will last for years to come.

Condition
 
Old stock. Excellent unused condition. The only thing to note is there is a light yellow age line from being folded and kept in storage at one side and you might see a couple of small age spots.  
 
I have laundered the towels with those famous Marseille soaps using no bleaching agents to remove dust. Normally any slight yellowing will lift with repeated cleanings or a deeper cleaning if desired.
