A 19th century French silk damask pelmet. Deep red color with ornate floral and leaf design . Actually made of of 6 pieces of the same fabric all seamed toghether. Backed with linen. All hand stitched. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Condition
 
One small area towards the top with a bit of soiling and a couple of small marks but it all fades well into the background. Nothing major or distracting and what you could expect on an item of this age. There are no holes or damage. The back shows some small stains.
