An 18th century French embroidered fragemt. Center panel showing various florals and scrolled leaves on a silk damask pink ground. The fragment has been saved from a much larger piece and re purposed as a small table mat with newer metallic tims around the edges and more recent fabrics at the sides. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Condition
Some missing thread and a bit of damage to the yellow blossom. A smarly done darn on the blue leaf to hold the silk threads down. For the rest in good condition and the silk ground is good and strong.
Left in "as found" condition straight from the markets of Provence.
