Based on a bit of research I believe this pelmet dates from the late 1700's. French in origin. "Imprime" printed potton with a stylized printed design of small abstract florals. Clors are wine, aubergines, light blue and red against a white background. The back is lined with a hemp linen. Edge with linen. Photos are a good representation of actual colors and condition.

Measurements

1 meter 21 cm across the top x 30 cm wide from top to bottom of scalloped edge.

The pelmet is made up 15 separte pices. Several smaller pieces seamed together and run along the top. There is a good size piece that runs along the bottom.

Condition

I've left the pelmet in "as found" condition. You will see some light yellowing here and there which will probably dissapear with a good soaking. There is a bit of wear to the linen edging along the top and one tiny split. Nothing major. No dark stains and do damage.
