A tranquil day at the beach was my first impression when I saw this oil painting. French in origin. Probably dating from the early 1900's. Bought from a collection of other paintings and sketches dating from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Done on wood. A group of 4 small fishing boats in the background with 3 figures in the foreground. The male figure possibly clamming with his rake. Signed at the bottom right hand corner. Would be stunning grouped together with other small paintings. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
