There is something so beautiful and wonderful about embroidery work from the 1700's and this ecclesiastical applique is no exception. The use of colors materials is spectacular as well as the detailed embroidery. French in origin. Depicts Maria holding the Christ child. All done in silk, metal threads and trims.
