Antique French gold lame stole. Probably dates from the late 1800's. A gold work embroidery of a lamb resting on a bible with rays of the sun on each side. The lambs are done in silver metallic purl threads and outlined in an off white chenille thread. Stole has gold metallic trims around all sides with gold metallic twist rope fringes along the bottom.

The entire piece measures
1 meter 8 cm from top to bottom (not including the length of the fringes at the bottom)
The width across the bottom is
28 cm wide
The lambs embroideries including the rays of sun measure
22 cm from top center to bottom x 22 cm across the middle
Condition
The lame is slightly worn and discolored. Lamb embroideries in good shape iwht only a bit of missing purl thread but doesn't distract. Metallic trims are fringes in good condition. The liner which is red has damage. Underneath the liner is a glazed oxblood linen liner.
