Very pretty colors in this vintage altar banner. French in origin. Large AV motifs center done in French knottings and gold work embroider. At the sides chain link embroidered blossoms and leaves in silk and gold metal thread. All Edges are finsihed off with metallic trims. Along the bottom edge gold metallic bullion fringes. The creme colored background is silk. The sky blue fabrics I am unsure of the composition. The back has an off white silk ecclesiastical fabric. Photos are a good representation of actual color.
Measurements
1 meter 4 cm in length x 37 cm from top center to bottom center.
Condition
In very good condition accept at each side on the back where the silk has begun to break. Nothing that affects the appearance from the front. Fringes at the bottom will show some light bending but are for the most part in very good condition.
