Antique religious applique depicting a cathedral. Dates from the late 1700's. French in origin. Hand painted and hand embroidered with a metallic and silk thread. Gothic style frame around the sides is hand embroidered with a gold metallic thread has now taken on a dark patina.Photos are a good representation of actual colors.

Condition
 
Used but still in good condition. The only thing to note is that you will see some minor surface wear to the silk ground barely visible. One of the silk velvet around the frame has has faded in color from red to a medium dark peach color. Some minor surface wear to the metalic thread here and there.Nothing major or distracting.
