Old stock from the "Ecole Tissage" i.e. Lyon Weaving School this card of silver metallic Tricot mesh cording. Dates from the 1960's. Well developed patina that will look great with old fabrics. Tubuluar and flexible. Could easily be used for outlining, weaving, knitting etc. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

The Lyon Weaving School is an educational institution founded in 1883 by the municipality of Antoine Gailleton with the aim of perfecting the training of silk workers.
Origin and foundation
The school was founded on 14 December 1883 to replace the theory courses for weaving that had been held intermittently since 1847 in the Palais Saint-Pierre1. Originally, the courses were intended for students between the ages of fourteen and sixteen, and lasted two years. They include practical day classes and theoretical evening classes.
