A large vintage French toile du jouy. Not sure of the actual age but undoubtedly 20th century. Cotton. Medium weight. Various country scenes including "ring around the rosie, animals, cherubs etc. Light rosey color against an off white background. The toile may have been used as a single bed coverlet at one time. Fabrics front and back. Photos are a good indication of actual color and condition.

Condition
 
The frontf: Very good condition with only three small breaks in the fabric at the left hand edge. Along one side you will see a slight fade in color but doesn't really distract. Front is actually two panels sewn togeher with a seam right down the middle from top to bottom. The motifs are expertly lined up. 
 
The back: actually four panels seamed together from top to bottom. The motifs in the two middle panels line up expertly the side pieces dont' match up. Back also has two small holes in the fabric towards the top edge. In addition, there is one small patched area along the top edge. 
 
Overall a very clean appearance with perhaps a very light mark here and there but nothing major and should come up with a soak.
 
Lots of material for reuse.
 
Left in "as found" condition and has not been laundered.
