Two pieces of this 19th century French toile. The larger piece depicts florals and leaves, some feathers, a butterfly and some fruit. The small piece the same motifs except no butterfly. Shades of dark to light pink and white in color.

Larger piece measures
36 x 18 squared (actually two pieces hand seamed together down the center running in the length).
The smaller piece measues
30 x 15 cm
Condition
Smaller piece is heavily distressed with large and small holes as well as thin areas.
Larger piece distressed with large and small holes as well as thin areas.
Colors are still strong and consistant.
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
