A 19th century needlework panel. Love the deep rich colors and how it's aged. Depicting Maria and the baby Jesus with figures to each side. Wool. All hand done. . Photos are a good representation of actual color.
Measurements
84 cm across x 81 cm from top to bottom (measurements of needlwork only at not the surrounding jute fabric)
Condition
There is a small hole at the figure right of the Maria just at the chest line. Another small hole in the cuff of the robe of Maria. A bit of thread loss in the cloth that wrapes around Jesus and in the robe of the female figure to left of Jesus but I don't find it distracts.
There was problem a split along the top edge at center which has been repaired.
