A very large 19th century needlework pelmet. Possibly made for a large door or window treatment. French in origin. Done in a wool and polished cotton thread. All hand done. Depicts cherries and leaves down the middle with stylized blossom along the sides.  Various colors against a natural linen colored back. Photos are a good represenation of actual color.

Each side measures 2 meters 18 cm from top to bottom x 17 cm wide. 
 
Condition
 
Very good condition with no stains or damage. Colors are still good and strong and even in appearance. There is a raw edge at the ends of the side pieces so you may want to give them a hem.
