Antique Dutch sampler. Undoubtedly from the 1800's. Silk on linen. Probably from the Norther province of Holland known as Friesland. Known as a random sampler since the motifs are randomly placed here and there Letters of the alphabet at top with stylized crown and florals motifs center, Trees of life at the bottom. Rose bud strands around the sides. Photos are a good representation of actual color.

Condition
Sadly quit damaged with a large hole at the bottom center, Small hole botton right hand corner and some more smaller holes along the left side edge. A couple of thining spots and smaller holes center upper area. Still there are some beautiful motifs in the sampler and some good material for reuse.
