Early 1800's ecclesiastical runner. French in origin. Heavier hand loomed cotton which shows two different bands of weave. One band with a bit of texture and the other with a smoother surface. Embroidered design of styized blossom and leaves on a branch done in a flat wide silver metal thread. Fringe at each end.

Photos are a good representation of actual color.

Measurements

1 meter 80 cm in length (not including the length of the fringes)

The width is

1 meter 11 cm wide (still show the selvage at each side)

 Condition

Left in "as found" condition.

There is no damage/holes in the cloth and the embroidery work is intact for the most part with just a few threads that need to be tacked down.

The cloth does show stains, soiling and age spots so it is in need of a professional clean and pressing.

Decorative on it's own or perfect for upscaling and using for smaller projects.
