Love the color combinations in this 19th century French roll/block print fabric. Cotton. Depicts a repeating pattern of birds resting on stylized branches, florals and leaves. Branches are dones in shades of charcoal and grey, florals and birds in a bit of purple, shades of pink, white and shades of blue. All against a sky blue background.   Photos are a good represenation of actual color.

Measurements

2 meters 72 cm from top to bottom

The width is 84 cm wide.

Condition

Lightly quilted at one time so you will see some light quilt lines. Upper right and lower right hand corner curved. There are 3 small darkish stains at the top edge. There is a split 7 cm in length at the right hand side and just underneath it there is a "T" shaped stitched repair. I've tried to show this in the photo. You will see small holes along the edges. The two rows of birds at the right hand side show some light fading in color of the background. Saying all of that the majority of the fabric is in good useable condition.

The fabric has been lightly laundered using those famous Marseille soaps to remove dust and dirt but still shows some slight signs of aging. We like to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible but try to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric.
