A lot of 2 pieces of late 1700's early 1800's French Siamoise fabrics.. Cotton linen weave. Intricate block print. Possibly Oberkampf and very typical of his designs. Depicts what looks like peonies, small florals and leaves in madder red, yellow, and indigo blue.
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
Measurements
One piece measures
44 x 11.5 cm
The other piece measures
34 x 11.5 cm
Condition
Both pieces have some small holes and many thin areas which can mostly be seen when held up to light. No stains.
The fabric has been given a cold water wash using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents in order to remove dust and dirt. We like to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the integretity and color of the fabric.
