Part of a collection we recently bought this antique gold lame sample piece with the profile of a figure. French in origin. Probably dates from the 1920's.  Wide flat threads woven into a black cotton background. Still has it's original paper label at one side. Dress weight fabric. Soft and supple so it can easily be worked.  Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
