Three pieces of 19th century French lame fabric saved from an ecclesiastical cope. One large cape shaped piece with two rectangluar panels. Lame has darkened in color over time and has a warm gold look. Photos are a good represenation of actual color.
Measurements
The two rectangular panels measure
92 x 25 cm
1 meter 13 cm x 26 cm
The large cape shaped piece measures
3 meters 88 cm along the bottom edge x 87 cm from top center to bottom edge.
(actually 5 pieces sewn together and in one of the photos you can see where it is seamed at the back)
Condition
Definately a lot for upscalig.
Two rectangular pieces show some varation in color due to age. One panel has some worn areas at the sides and the other piece has a split at one end.
The cape two very large stains. One at the bottom edge the other towards one side. Variation in color due to age. Splits and damage around most of the edges and a couple of holes in the main body of the fabric.
All the pieces show wrinkles in the fabric from being in storage.
So best suited for smaller project.
The fabric has not been clean and left in "as found" condition.
