Saved from a very large six panel screen this 19th century paper fragment. Depcitings various florals and leave and birds. This panel appears to have two full repeats. There is an applied paper border along all sides. The paper has an off white background. Motifs appear to be hand painted or block printed (looks like watercolor) and if you run your fingers across it you will feel some texture. The screen has been paper overed at least 4 times from what I can see so you will see edges of the other papers around the edges. Stiff and slightly warped due to age. Would look amazing reproduced or framed. Photos are a good represenation of actual color.
Measurements
1 meter 60 cm from top to bottom
49 cm wide
Condition
Some even variation in background color and dusty. Other than giving them a light brush I haven't tried to clean the panel and left in "as found" condition." The paper is stiff (mosty due to the layering). Most notable a large piece missing from right side edge. Rough edges and wear around the sides. Tiny knick at the top and a bit of a knick at the bottom edge. Small tear at right edge towards the top but could be glued. Looks like a couple of old repairs.
