A late 1700's early 1800's silk & metallic thread embroidery fragment. Italian in origin. Silk embroideries include two leaves at the upper left hand corner, a carnation upper center edge and a small blue blossom at the upper right hand corner. Large lattice work motif center and scrolled leaves to the sides all done in a metallic thread. All done on a heavier weight creme colored silk brocade fabric.
