Lrg vintage silk pelmet. French in origin. Probably dates early to mid 1900's. Base is a ribbed deep open blue silk with a matching silk braid fringe along the bottom. A large hand done ribbon work motif spans the bottom edgeand depicts a large basket made of raffia. Long branches of silk ribbon work roses and buds at each side on leafy branches and berries doen in a light yellow chenille. Linen at the back in a blue silk.
