Rare find. Wooden spool of antique French copper metallic thread. Flat and wide. Commonly used for embroideries and normally couched. Threads has a bit of textured surface which is brillant for catching the light.

Sppol is 1/3 full and I would estimate 20 meters on the spool. Possibly more.

The thread measures 
 
just over 1 mm wide.
