Part of a collection we recently bought this dark silver lame fabric sampler. French in origin. Probably dates from the 1920's. Metallic threads are woven onto a cadet blue cotton base. Original selvages along each side. Dress weight fabric. Soft and supple so it can easily be worked. Perfect for restoration projects, ribbonwork, clutches, shoes. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Good condition. Does have a line of patina towards one end and at the same end you can see three small holes where the fabric probably was fixed to a cardboard at one time.
