Probably a late 1700's early 1800's French quilt fragment. Cotton fabrics front and back. I believe it's an early piece that has been addded onto over the year with various patches.
One one side a siamoise fabric with a small block print of leafy vines and two patches at one end.
On the other side base fabric is a chanvre linen with three patches. Two stripes in blue and the other a tan with creme circle motifs.
Photos are a good representation of actual color.
Measurements
44 x 27 cm
Condition
Left in "as found" condition.
Very distressed with many holes and missings pieces. Fabrics are fragile. Patches on the front side have worn through leaving the batting exposed.
Back side blue patches in reasonably good position, tan patch very distressed. The chanvre linen shows some pinkish stains.
