A 19th century French cotton print fabric. Saved from an old French quilt. Repeating small two rectangles side by side against a striped background. Brown and creme in color.

Condition
 
Distressed with large and small holes and thin areas throughout. A patch which has come loose made of the same fabric. Colors are faded and uneven. 
 
The fabric has been lightly laundered using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents to remove dust and dirt.
