An early 1900's Vichy cotton plaid curtain. Pink and white with a perfectly match cotton bobble trim along three sides. The top edge is pleated and has a linen band that runs along from one side to the other with some small brass rings sewn in for hanging. Straight from our antique market here in Villaneuve! Totally hand made and hand stitched. Photos are a good indication of color and condition.
Measurements
2meters in length x 66 cm wide (not including the width of the trim)
Bobble trim is going to measure probably just over 3 meters in total length x 5 cm wide from top of braid to bottom of bobbles.
Condition
A few condition issues but this curtain is so sweet and so well made I wanted to leave it in "as found" condition.
There is a largish hole at the left side towards the bottom. Taking the curtain in from the side would solve this problem. One small area towards bottom edge with a brownish stain. A couple of small holes and repairs. A couple of bobbles missing and a couple of breaks in threads but this could easily be reworked. Could use a freshening up.
So what's important is that there is a lot of good material to work with that is clean and useable. The bobble trim also has a very clean appearance.
