A 19th century French block print fabric. Cotton. Probably a reproduction of an 18th century design. Spectacular larger motifs of stylized leaves and florals with the prettiest small rose and leaf background. Colors are shades of red and pink with greyish blue, a bit of aubergine and black. All against a light pink background.

Condition
 
Two large tears at the left hand side and another large tear bottom right hand corner. L shaped tear down from center. Down the middle fabric several small holes and some thin areas. Some variation in background color with a slightly darker tone of the pink background at left hand side. 
 
There are good size pieces of the fabric still in good condition without damage but best suited as documentation, reproduction or for small projects. 
 
The fabric has been giving a light soak using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents to remove dust and dirt. We like to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the color and the integretity of the fabric.
