An 18th century Siamoise fabrics. One of the most beautiful examples that I have ever come across.

Block print depicting bands of leaves that alternate with bands of what looks like to me clematis buds and small flowers. Colors are turquoise blue, creme on a madder red background.

Full repeats.

Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Measurements

1 meter 27 cm from top to bottom

The width is 70 cm (still has original selvage at right side)

Condition

Lightly quilted at one time so you will see some slight variaiton in background color.  Upper two thirds of the fabric show large and small holes as well as thin areas. Bottom third of fabric is in better condition but will still some small holes. Tear at upper left hand corner.

Best suited for documentation, small projects or upscaling.

The fabric has been laundered using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. We like to delivery a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric.
