A 19th century French quilt fragment. Cotton. Fabrics front and back.
 
Front fabric: Repeating block design of medallions in red and white with stylized blossoms and leaves against a green and blue background. Actually three pieces that have been stitched together. 
 
Back fabrics: Four different pieces. One a print of small groups, a stripe, a plain and what looks like a resist or block print of small circles. 
 
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Condition
 
Overall good and clean appearance. 
 
Front: very good condition with no holes, stains or disoloration. 
 
Back fabrics: small piece with groups of leaves and small piece with small circles in good condition with no damage. The strip and the plaid fabrics show seeveral holes. Striped fabric is in better condition towards one side without damage. 
 
The fragment has been left in it's "as found" condition.
