Saved from an old chasuble this lot of antique silk velvets. French in origin. The original color was probably black but through time is has gained a lovely aged mottled look in charcoal and mousy brown. I believe due to how it was stored it's developed even wrinkles which give it almost a crushed velvet look given some depth to the coloring.

Measurements
 
When looking at the overall photo the center piece (largest piece) measures
 
80 cm from top center to bottom center (piece is actually two pieces seamed together from top to bottom)
 
The side pieces each measure
 
1 meter 14 cm from top to bottom x 22.5 cm wide at widest points.
 
Condition
 
No stains or damage. Velvet has aged evenly showing lighter shades of color. Many even wrinkles. You can see marks where there use to be trims and applique work. Velvet is good and strong.
