A 19th century French toile du jouy. Cotton. Depicting various village scenes with figures, buildings and a windmill. Colors are rosy red and creme with brown accents against a light brown background.

Condition
Heavily distressed with large and small holes, missing areas and thin areas throughout. Colors are good and strong and have an even appearance.
The fabric has been laundered using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents in order to remove dust and dirt. We like to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric.
