A heavily distressed 19th century French quilt fragment. Cotton.  Fabrics front and back with the predominat color a clayish taupe. One side has a blue and taupe striped piece at one corner.

Left in "as found" condition. Heavily, heavily distressed. Missing pieces, holes and thin areas. Cottons are thin and fragile. Stitching was all done in a heavier linen thread. I've left this fragment in as found condition but I like the overall look and thought it might make a good base for an upscaled project.
