A very large piece of 19th century French ikat. Possibly a cotton/linen combination. Blue and white in color. Actually 3 panels hand sewn together.

The entire piece measures 
 
1 meter 90 cm from top to bottom x 1 meter 37 cm 
 
The center panel is from selvage to selvage approx. 59 cm wide (so that gives you an idea of age) 
 
Condition
 
Very large holes in the center panel and other holes here and there throughout. Thin areas. There is also one small indigo blue patch.  This piece does have good small sections in it without damage that would work for small pillows or sachets so there are a lot of possibility with this large piece. 
 
The fabric has been laundered using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. I've only given it a quick soap to remove dust and dirt. You may want to give it a deeper clean depending on how you choose to use the fabric. 
 
We like to delivery a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric.
