A 19th century French cotton resist dye/block print fabric. Fern like motifs in the background with larger motifs of roses, buds and leaves. Red & white in color.
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
Measurements
1 meter 50 from top to bottom
The width is
84 cm wide (still has selvage at both sides)
Condition
Most of the fabric is in good useable condition without damage. There are small holes along the top edge and a grouper of larger holes towards the left hand side. Also a couple of small holes towards the bottom. The reason I've listed in the fabric in our "distressed" category is because at one time there were colored details in the rose motifs which has pretty much dissapeared and you can only see light traces of it.
The fabrics have been lightly laundered with those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents to remove the dust and dirt. We like to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric.
