A large early 1800's French quilt fragment. On the front a chintz Ramoneur block print fabric with various florals, branches and leaves in blue, tan, deep green, reddish browns and lavender against a dark brown background. At the back a stylized paisley in madder red, blue, black, yellow green and white. The Ramoneur fabric on the front appears to be three pieces seamed together. The paisly at the back is one large piece with a smaller piece seamed together at one side measuring about 4 cm wide. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
