To be on the safe side I believe this quilt dates from the early to mid 1800's although it could be earlier. Cotton with fabrics front and back. A varieity of block print motifs in a myriad of colors set againts a creme colored background. Beautiuflly stitched with large blossoms each corner. Inner square has two blossoms at the corners and two hearts at the opposite corners.
Back fabric shows a simple block print which looks a bit like morning glories on a stem with leaves to the sides.
Still in it's original state.

Condition
Left in "as found" condition. Not laundered.
Does have some condition issues
Front shows a couple of small pinkish stains center, some soiling and an area towards the middle with yellowing. There are many small holes here and there throughout with a couple of larger holes towards the center. The front is actually two panels of the same fabric hand stitched together. The overall look is still very good and decorative.
The back is in better condition with only a few small holes from what I could see. There is a very obvious pink stains and a couple of smaller light stains and some soiling.
