An early 1900's French pillow sham. Chanvre linen. Soft and supple. All hand stitched. Diamond opening at the back with a cross stitch monogram in red "FD." Medium weight.

Overall good condition. Could you use a good soak to freshen but has a clean appearance.
 
There are two tiny age spots at the back towards one end and you can see some very well done darned repairs at the front and back of the sham that blend so well you barely see them.  In addition, you will see one patched corner at one end and in and around the patch the linen has thinned a bit but stable.
