Quits an intricate design in this 19th century French block print fabric. Large pinwheel shaped blossoms with leafy branches that at the ends have small tulip shaped flowers In the background you will see small blossom and scrolled leaf motifs. 

 

Light blue and madder red in color. When looking at the back and at the edges you can see that the orignal colors where a darker blue, madder red and a very light yellow. 

 

 Photos are a good representation of actual color.

 

Measurements

 

Actuallly two pieces of the same fabric hand stitched together with the seam just off the center of the fabric. At the seam you will see original selvage and there is a full repeat. 

 

79 x 51 cm 

 

Condition

 

Distressed colors with even fading of original color. Small holes predominantly done one side. Some other tiny holes and larger areas of thinning. Several small areas in good condition without damage that could be used for small projects. 

 

The fabric has been laundered using those famouse Marseille soaps without bleaching agents in order to remove dust and dirt. We like to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the color and the integretity of the fabric.
