Stunning colors in the 18th century tapestry border. French in origin. Depicting a row of leaves down the middle with a tulip shaped repeating pattern along one side. Finely woven in wool and silk threads over a metal thread base. Part of the metal thread weaving you can see at one side and in some of the leaf designs where the top threads have slightly worn leaving the metal threads exposed. Done in rich colors of rust, deep red, corne yelow, marigold, light brown and beautiful shades of blue.

Condition
Very good condition. Colors are still good and strong. There is one tiny spot where you will see a split which can be shut from the back and there are a few old repairs which have been professional done.
