A late 1700's French Siamoise block print fabric. Cotton linen. Alternating bands of exotic looking flroasl with smaller bands of florals. Madder red background with accent colors in indigo blue, creme and just a big of yellow. Full repeat Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
Measurements
1 meter 26 cm from top to bottom
The width is 89 cm (still has the original selvage along both sides).
Condition
On one of the wider bands several. From midway to top small smaller holes and more of the same towards the bottom. One motif is without damage.
The other wider band is in better condition with only 3 small holes but does have a couple of darker stains.
The narrower bands are in better condition but will still show some smaller holes here and there and the band at the far right has a larger tear in it.
Good useable areas without damage and full motifs. Best suited for smaller project, documentation or upscaling.
The fabric has been lightly laundered using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. We try to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the integrety and color of the fabric
