A late 19th century needlework chair cover. Wool with silk thread accents. French in origin. Depicting two birds center with stylized florals and leaves around the sides. Combination of petite point and regular stitched. Done on a jute back. Colors are still strong and vibrant. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

47.5 cm across the middle x 50 cm from top to bottom.
Condition
Overall good appearance. This needlework does have some missing pieces and threads. I think there are two good options for using it. Either stabilized it from the back and tack down in loose parts or cut up for reuse.
