Unique and rarely seen design in this large panel of 19th century French fabric. Cotton. Block/resist dye. Large ferns that sweep from top to bottom in aubergine, brown and white against a natural red background. Photos are a good represenation of actual color.
Measurements
2 meters 17 cm from top to bottom
The widths is 83.5 cm wide (still has it's selvages along both sides)
Condition
Quilted at one time so you sill see traces of quilt lines. Has a bit of wear and tiny holes along selvage lines. Some thinning areas down the middle with a couple of tiny holes. Sides of the fabric are in better condition. Some heavier wear and holes along bottom edge. Would recommend stabilizing the thinning areas or perhaps best suited for smaller projects. No stains and colors are good and even.
The fabric has been laundered using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. We like to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric.
