I love the playful design in this late 19th century roll print French fabric. Used as a curtain at one time. Alternating column of cactus, pineapplies and florals with narrower columns of stylized blossoms and leaves at each side. Background color is a natural putty colored linen with motifs done in red, tannish gold and light aubergine. Photos are a good representation of actual colors and condition.
Measurements
2 meters 25 cm from top to bottom
38 cm wide (still has the selvage at one side).
Condition
Overall very good condition with no holes or discoloration. There is a spot about 55 cm down towards the right side which looks like a bit of paint has gotten on the fabric. There is a hem at the top measuring 5 cm wide. There is also a hem along the right side. If this were unpicked you would have a complete column of motifs down the right side of the fabric as well including a sewing allowance.
The fabric has been laundered using those famous Marseille soaps without using bleaching agents. We like to delivery a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the intergretity and color of the fabric.
